W-4 Deadline: Maintain Tax Withholding Exemption

Individuals who claimed exemption from income tax withholding on their Form W-4 last year must submit a new Form W-4 by February 15, 2024 to continue their exemption for the current year. Failure to do so may result in income taxes being withheld from your paycheck.

What to do:

  1. Obtain a new Form W-4 from your employer or download it from the IRS website.
  2. Complete the form accurately, following the instructions provided.
  3. Submit the completed form to your employer’s payroll department before the February 15, 2024 deadline.
